Now HIV infection becomes a worldwide serious issue. This infection can pass from one patient to other that is why a high level of precaution is required. Recovery of patient becomes very difficult if this problem cross the limits. For this purpose, different types of medicines are used which stops the further production of HIV and treatments remain in process. Lopimune is also known as antiretroviral medicine which helps in the treatment of HIV patients. This medicine contains two components, 200mg of lopinavir and 50mg of ritonavir. It is recommended to use any other medicine which prevents the production of HIV when Lopimune is used for its treatment. Otherwise HIV treatment might become impossible when it turn into AIDS. Patient can use this medicine with or without the food but swallow it as a whole. It is recommended to use 4 tablets in each day for patient. Patient can take all tablets once in a day or two in morning and two in night. If a patient starts this medicine along with nevirapine, fosamprenavir, amprenavir, nelfinavir or efavirenz then it is not recommended to use its 4 tablets once.

If a patient has poor susceptibility to Lopimune then doctor may start 3 tablets two times in a day. The impairment of renal due to this medicine is still under research. It is not helpful for patients who had hypersensitivity to ritonavir so ask from doctor for further treatment. Use of the other medicine along with it may create problem for patient so never use it when you are already taking methylergonovine, antemizole, triazolam, terfenadine, midazolam, dihydroergotamine, ergonovine, ergotamine, cisapride or pimozide. Some of the side effects may occur in different patient but it is not mandatory for all. Side effects depend on the patient immunity condition but most of the time patients suffer from diarrhea problem. More over patient may suffer from redistribution of body fat, digestive problems, malaise back and chest pain, cardiovascular abnormalities, hypothyroidism Cushing's syndrome, anemia anxiety, apathy diabetes, mellitus lactic acidosis, bone necrosis, dizziness, dyskinesia, asthma, pharyngitis, skin discoloration, loss of taste, abnormal vision and rhinitis sinusitis. These given side effects are noted and patient should ask from doctor if he or she feels any abnormality in condition.

Patient must follow the instruction of the doctor and do not use the extra amount of dose. In case of any emergency, you may contact to your concern doctor or poison help line for urgent medical aid. Store the medicine at room temperature and do not expose it into heat or moisture. Read carefully the direction given on the medicine container and its expiry date. Do not feel hesitation while asking any question regarding medicine use. Regular use of medicine is too mandatory and do not skip any dose. Ask from family members to remind you about your medicine and try to use missed dose as soon as possible. Keep the medicine away from the approach of the children. Try to dispose your expired medicine in a proper way.
